What devices can Octopus be used with?
Octopus is compatible with any android device or Mac or Windows computer using Chrome or Firefox.
Can you tell me a bit more about the free trial?
Every new signup comes preloaded with 50 free responses. This means that you can create an interview comprising one question and receive responses from 50 candidates or create an interview with 5 questions and receive responses from 10 candidates. You can but additional responses whenever you like.
Do I have to sign up for any specific period?
No, there is no fixed contract. Just use the system when you need it.
How many interviews can I create and keep active at any one time?
There is no limit to the number of interviews you can create and keep active.
How many candidates can I interview in each interview?
There is no limit to the number of candidates you can include in an interview.
How many questions can I ask in each interview?
You can ask between 1 and 5 questions in each interview.
Why can’t my candidates access the interviews that I sent them?
The most likely answer is that your candidates are using Safari or an apple mobile device. Unfortunately these are not currently compatible with Octopus Interview.
How much does it cost?
Each response costs 5c. So, a 5 question interview would cost you 25c. You buy responses in blocks of 500 credits for $25. We are currently offering a free trial where you automatically receive 50 free responses so you can try it risk free and run anywhere between 10-50 interviews.
Do responses/credits expire?
You can ask between 1 and 5 questions in each interview.
Does this work with Safari?
Currently, Octopus is only combatible with Chrome and Firefox on Mac or Windows.
Does this work with iOS?
Currently, Octopus is only compatible with Android mobile devices.
Do my candidates, hiring managers or I have to download any software?
No. Nobody needs to download any software. But your candidates will need to take part in their interviews via an android device or Mac/Windows computer using Chrome or Firefox.
Why wouldn’t I just use Skype or Zoom?
Filtering candidates with Skype or Zoom is intrinsically the same as a face to face or telephone interview. You have to schedule the interviews and take part yourself one at a time. With Octopus, you can consider as many candidates as you wish on your terms. The time savings are enormous.
Why can’t my hiring manager see the shortlist I sent him?
The most likely answer is that your hiring manager is using Safari or an apple mobile device. Unfortunately these are not currently compatible with Octopus Interview.
Can I add an interview to my website careers page?
Yes, absolutely. Just embed the link on your website and your candidate interviews will appear on your control panel.
